We collect the following personal data when you use Sovant:
- Email address (for account and authentication)
- Metadata such as IP address, device, and user agent
- Usage data such as API requests and error logs
- Any content you choose to store or process with the API

- Provide and maintain the Service
- Authenticate and secure user accounts
- Monitor usage and enforce rate limits
- Improve features and performance
- Communicate with you regarding updates, billing, or support
3. DATA STORAGE & LOCATION
Your data is stored and processed in Singapore (ap-southeast-1) or other regions where Sovant operates infrastructure. We comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
4. DATA SHARING
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with trusted service providers (e.g., Supabase, Resend, Cloudflare) solely to provide the Service. All providers are bound by data protection agreements.
5. DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time.
Export & Deletion (Beta):
During the beta program, Sovant AI provides data export and deletion services upon request.
- To export your memories or account data, email support@sovant.ai with the subject line "Export Request."
- To delete your memories or account, you may use the in-product delete option or email support@sovant.ai with the subject line "Deletion Request."
We will respond within 72 hours and complete the request within 7 business days. Self-service export and deletion tools will be introduced in the public release.

7. SECURITY
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring. However, no system is 100% secure.
